Where will you SHOP HOP?

WHAT IS THE SHOP HOP?

Each year hundreds of vintage shop owners roll out the red carpet for you by hosting a fun promotion inside their store...x 500 stores! It might be anything from chalk paint demonstrations to jewelry making demo or live music or a parking lot sale. It could be a fun game like "pop the balloon" to determine your discount. Or a give away swag bag to the first people in the store each day. It's entirely up to the shop owner to decide what their promotion is...but all make it worth it! They also set their own hours.  Some shops continue their offers a day before and a day after the official event dates.  Their typical store hours are to open at 9 or 10am and closing at 5pm or after. Be sure to check the list or map for exact hours of each shop.

We provide the list on this blog, and an interactive Google Map for you to follow along. Pull it up on your smartphone and away you go! (Find them on the tabs of this page).

We suggest you take a look at the list as it grows, and decide if you want to shop in your own backyard or venture out a little further and make a day or weekend of it. Then, take a few minutes to check out the shops' Facebook pages, check their hours, and route out your day! Maybe even spend the night and do it all over again the second day!!

WHERE WILL YOU SHOP HOP?

The event takes place all over northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin...from the Mississippi River to Chicago suburbs...on the south from I-80 to Green Bay on the north! Literally you'll find hundreds of stores, ladies boutiques, home decor stores and barn sales!

The best part is there's a little bit of everything. Darling shops located on a downtown main street. Unique historical buildings tucked into the country. Gorgeous barns spilling out with vintage and rusty junk. Feminine boutiques and consignment shops selling clothing, home decor and more.

HOW TO FIND OUT MORE.

Follow our Facebook page often where you'll find all the details, all the fun flyers with details on those who organize town-wide events--and other appropriate posts from the shops themselves. So check our page every day! There's an interactive Google Map every year! You can click/tap the map locators and see detail information on each shop. That means while you're out on the road, you can open the map to see what your next shop will be...and that works year 'round. Just open your Google Maps, go to MY MAPS and it will be listed there forever!

SHOP LIST & MAP:

MASTER LIST OF SHOPS and interactive GOOGLE MAP will be found on the page tabs at the top of this page...even after the event! If you are viewing this on a smartphone, you may have to tap the HOME button on your screen to see the page tabs. (The current map and list is the recent Fall 2019 edition. As the participating shops start to register, we'll post the Spring 2020 versions.)

IF YOU'RE A SHOP OWNER:

To participate you must own a vintage shop, vintage event, home decor store or women's boutique in northern Illinois or southern Wisconsin. The map tab will give you the general idea of boundaries the event covers. If you're in a rural area without many vintage shops, we can allow other shops. Contact us first. No box stores, no national chains, no thrifts, no floral shops, or resale shops unless you have a devoted year 'round vintage section. Registration begins on January 1 and August 1 every year and ends two weeks before the event.  Please go HERE to register your shop. The registration fee to participate is $45 per shop location for "Early Bird" from January 1 through January10 at 5pm...then it's $65 after that until February 21 at 5pm.
